Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Plumber to support the plumbing systems of a commercial facility that includes laboratory and office space. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building plumbing systems to ensure safe and reliable operation. The ideal candidate is experienced in commercial environments and comfortable working in a facility that supports technical and laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems throughout the facility
- Install, repair, and replace piping, fixtures, valves, pumps, and plumbing components
- Support domestic water, sanitary, and process/laboratory plumbing systems
- Support plumbing needs for office spaces, laboratories, and facility equipment, including specialty lab drains, eyewash/safety showers, and RO/DI water systems
- Diagnose plumbing issues and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment
- Test, maintain, and inspect backflow prevention devices
- Read and interpret plumbing schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, plumbing codes, and company policies
- Coordinate with facilities, maintenance teams, and contractors as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance activities
Job Requirements
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with commercial plumbing systems
- 2+ years of commercial plumbing experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret plumbing diagrams and blueprints
- Knowledge of plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently in a facility maintenance environment
Preferences
- Backflow Prevention Device Tester certification
- Experience working in laboratory, research, or technical facilities
- Experience performing preventative maintenance in commercial buildings
