Job summary

ECM Holding Group, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Plumber willing to travel 100% of the time. You will install, modify, maintain, and repair plumbing systems for drainage and water, ensuring quality and safety while meeting project timelines and budgets.

This role involves extensive travel to various sites, often two weeks or longer, including driving company vehicles and air travel. A strong readiness to learn and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • 1+ years of plumbing experience.
  • Able to read technical designs and blueprints.
  • Proficient with plumbing tools, materials and equipment.
  • Knowledge of piping and ventilation systems.
  • Valid driver's license required; OSHA 10 preferred or to be completed within 30 days.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair broken pipes, and clogged drains.
  • Install underground sanitary, drainage, and water supply piping systems.
  • Layout, assemble, and install pipe fixtures for water systems.
  • Cut pipes and transport to project locations as required.
  • Use hand tools to fit valves, couplings and components.
  • Dig trenches and install pipes for water or sewage systems.
  • Fill pipes with resin or sand to stabilize during installation.
  • Immerse pipes in cleaning chemicals to remove dirt and scale.
  • Mount hangers and brackets to support pipes.
  • Ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes to angles.
  • Inspect plumbing systems and initiate repairs.
  • Coordinate with contractors and other workers on site.

Job Summary

ECM Holding Group, INC. is seeking a highly motivated Plumber who is willing to travel 100% of the time.

The Plumber role is a hands-on role responsible for the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems for both drainage and water. The Plumber role will ensure all work meets stringent quality and safety standards while adhering to project timelines and budgets. This role involves significant travel, up to 100% of the time, for projects that may last two weeks or longer. This position requires physical stamina, a willingness to learn, and strong attention to detail. This is a dynamic role that requires extensive travel to various job sites, often involving both driving company vehicles and air travel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair broken pipes, and clogged drains
  • Install underground sanitary, drainage, and water supply piping systems
  • Conduct the layout, assembly, and installation of pipe fixtures for water systems
  • Cut pipes and transport to project locations where they are required
  • Utilize hand tools in fitting of valves, couplings and components for tanks, pumps or other plumbing system
  • Dig trenches/install pipes and piping fixtures for water or sewage systems
  • Fill pipes with resin or sand to prevent distortion and ensure they are steady during installation
  • Immerse pipes in chemical solutions such as bleach and dispersants to remove oil, dirt, and scale
  • Mount hangers and brackets on walls to provide support for pipes
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and set safety standards
  • Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes to required angles using measurement tools
  • Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues and initiate repairs
  • Liaise with contractors, and other construction workers to ensure an effective plumbing system
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Completion of a vocational school certificate program, associate degree, or apprenticeship preferred
  • 1+ years of plumbing experience
  • Able to read technical designs and blueprints
  • Proficient with plumbing tools, materials, and equipment
  • Knowledge in piping and ventilation systems
  • Valid driver licenses required
  • OSHA 10, if not certified must be completed within 30 days of hire date

  • Ability to get the proper equipment or company vehicles to and from job sites
  • Ability to work independently on a job site
  • Ability to use good judgement and problem-solving skills while striving to work safely

Physical Demands

Plumbers may spend long hours outside and in awkward positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain. Plumbers will be lifting and adjusting heavy objects, and will come in contact with sharp, hot and/or very cold supplies and equipment. Plumbers must maintain safety procedures at all times to avoid injury. Plumbers may also come in contact with potential poisons and gases that could cause injury or illness.

Constant (67-100%) standing and walking.

Frequent (34-66%), repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs over shoulder height.

Frequent (34-66%) moving of heavy equip.

Frequent (34-66%) bending, squatting and twisting.

Frequent (34-66%) climbing and the use of ladders and scaffolding.

Requires stamina to work extended hours.

Work Environment

While performing the essential functions of this position, the plumber will be subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions including exposure to extreme cold, heat and humidity.

Exposure to dusty, noisy jobsite conditions, fumes and some chemicals.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Other Compensation: This position may be eliable for travel pay, per diem, and/or annual bonuses
