Job summary

Carlsbad Municipal Schools seeks a Journeyman Plumber to maintain the district's facilities. The position requires three years documented plumbing experience, a Journeyman Plumber license through New Mexico CID, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

  • Computer literate in word processing and spreadsheet applications as well as an ability to maintain static inventory records.

  • Assume responsibility for the safe condition of pipes, drains, and plumbing fixtures in the facilities owned or operated by the district.
  • Maintain outdoor sprinklers, waste disposal systems, radiators and similar plumbing related installations.
  • Read and follow written instructions.
  • Plan and execute work efficiently and within a range of safety to protect self and fellow workers.
  • Account for and maintain supplies, materials and equipment.
  • Examine district owned facilities on a regular basis for purposes of preventive maintenance.
