Job summary

Paycom - ATS on-site in Wisconsin seeks an attentive production line worker to inspect, grade, and package products on a fast-moving conveyor, following marketing specs on a rotation basis.

You will perform weight and count checks, assemble according to customer specs, and keep a clean, safe environment while wearing PPE. Extended hours, weekends, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
• Strong basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and grade products visually to ensure conformity.
• Estimate weight, verify count, and place products accordingly.
• Assemble products per customer specifications and discard substandard items.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work area with required PPE.
• Report mechanical or material issues to supervision.
• Observe conveyor operations for extended periods and adapt to production needs.

Position Summary: Inspects, grades, packages using both hands to maintain an even production flow of products according to marketing specifications on a rotation basis on production line's conveyor system, by performing the following duties.Primary duties and responsibilities:Estimate weight of product visually.Verify count, look at, handle product, as required by its nature, to determine grade and identify substandard productsPlace rejected products and individual grades of products in designated piles, containers, or areas. Add supplemental product to bring original product into specifications.Reports major breakdowns or problems to the line operatorNotify Supervisor of any mechanical or material issuesAssemble product according to customer specificationInspect and insert product at various positions along the line and discard poor productMaintain a safe and clean work areaMaintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good manufacturing practicesMust wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as providedMust follow all plant food safety and person safety rules and proceduresPerform other duties and assignments as requiredObserve products moving quickly on a conveyor system for up to 3 1/2 hours at one timeThis role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.Education, prior work experience and specialized skill and knowledge: Ability to understand and communicate effectively. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, round, compute averages and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.Physical environment/working conditions:The employee is required to walk, stand, use hands, fingers, and arms to handle, feel and reach.
