Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Pipeline Maintenance Technician II to support the reliability of our pipeline system. You will perform maintenance, repairs and emergency response across field and office settings, contributing to safe, efficient operations and continuous improvement.

This role requires a strong safety mindset and the ability to work with diverse teams. The position is based in Monahans or Three Rivers, Texas, with travel up to 75% and overnight stays.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to complete routine documentation.
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory record.
  • Strong commitment to safety and procedures.
  • Ability to organize priorities and make sound decisions in changing conditions.
  • Good communication with team, contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on mainline piping, terminals and stations.
  • Inspect and maintain pipeline valves, markers, signs and equipment.
  • Handle emergency calls, pipeline locates and monitor excavations.
  • Support containment, repair, cleanup and preventative actions during incidents.
  • Investigate measurement issues and contribute to standards.
  • Issue work permits and provide field leadership as needed.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering and external parties to complete work safely.

As a Pipeline Maintenance Technician II, you will help protect the reliability of our pipeline system, the environment and the communities we serve by performing essential maintenance, repair and emergency response activities. You will join a collaborative field team where your technical skills, sound judgment and commitment to continuous improvement can make a meaningful impact while supporting your long-term career growth.


What You Will Do:


  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on mainline piping, terminals and station facilities.

  • Inspect, operate and maintain pipeline valves, right-of-way markers, signs and related equipment.

  • Complete emergency one-calls, pipeline locates and onsite monitoring of third-party excavation activities.

  • Respond to pipeline emergencies by supporting containment, repair, cleanup and preventative actions.

  • Investigate measurement issues, calculate adjustments and provide input into measurement standards.

  • Issue work permits, oversee contract work and provide field leadership when required.

  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, contractors, landowners and other stakeholders to complete work safely, efficiently and in accordance with established requirements.


Who You Are:


  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years of relevant experience.

  • You bring a basic understanding of computers and the ability to complete routine documentation and reports.

  • You hold a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

  • You demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, environmental protection and established operating procedures.

  • You can organize priorities, follow technical instructions and make sound decisions in changing or time-sensitive situations.

  • You communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in operations or maintenance within a crude oil pipeline, tank farm or delivery facility is considered an asset.


Preferred:


  • CDL licence or capable of getting and maintaining CDL.


Working Conditions:


  • This safety-critical, DOT-designated role is based in Monahans or Three Rivers, Texas.

  • The position works in both field and office environments, with significant travel approximately 75% with frequent overnight stays.

  • Flexibility is required to support overtime, emergency response, changing priorities, adverse weather conditions and work outside normal business hours.

  • Work is performed independently with limited day-to-day direction and may require timely decisions in high-pressure situations.

  • Physical activities may include balancing, bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking and lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • The successful candidate should live within 25 miles of the applicable reporting location unless an alternative arrangement is approved by management.


Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying ( up to 50 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 100 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement, grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 100 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.


Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.


Base Salary:


  • Base salary ranges from $30.50 - $45.75 per hour USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
