Job summary

Turion Space is seeking a PLM Change Analyst/Document Control Specialist to manage item masters, ECOs, drawing releases, BOMs and QMS processes. This on-site Irvine role requires documenting controls, coordinating reviews, and training teams on PLM workflows.

The position covers PLM administration, data migration, feature rollouts, and cross-system integrations, with parity to AS9100/ISO9001 demands and potential shift travel.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in Document Control, Configuration Management or Engineering Change Management.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to set priorities and manage multiple change workflows.
  • Effective communication with all levels of the company across engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing.
  • Excellent oral and written communications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
  • Associates degree or higher preferable.
  • 5+ years PLM/PDM/ERP system experience and implementation is a plus.
  • Analytical skills for evaluating change impacts and solving issues.
  • Experience writing procedures and work instructions.
  • Configuration Management experience.
  • Aerospace experience and knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure documentation and change records are accurate, complete and compliant with CM standards.
  • Execute and process ECOs/ECRs in PLM following procedures.
  • Route, track, and complete engineering change orders with required reviews and approvals.
  • Perform PLM administration: onboarding, permissions, role management, training.
  • Support PLM implementation: data migration, feature rollout, templates and change updates.
  • Monitor PLM system performance and coordinate resolutions with PLM support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate document approvals and maintain configuration control.
  • Support day-to-day engineering admin needs related to PLM and change control.
  • Draft procedures and train team on PLM processes and change management.
  • Participate in CCB meetings and close assigned changes.
  • Support PLM integrations with ERP, ECAD, MCAD and QMS enhancements.

Job description

At Turion Space, we’re building spacecraft to secure Earth and expand humanity’s reach beyond it. As a PLM Change Analyst, you will be the point of contact for all things PLM related including item masters, engineering change orders (ECO), drawing releases, bill of materials (BOMs), procedures and work instructions. You will be a critical part of our engineering operations team and ensure that our spacecraft have secure, complete and accurate documentation.

This is a full-time, exempt position based on-site at our Irvine, California headquarters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all documentation and change records are accurate, complete and compliant with company configuration management standards

  • Execute and process ECOs/ECRs in PLM system following established procedures

  • Route, track, and complete engineering change orders and change requests while ensuring required reviews and approvals have been captured

  • Perform PLM system administration activities including new user onboarding, permissions, role management and providing training on PLM workflows and best practices.

  • Support PLM implementation and configuration activities such as data migration, rollout of new features, as well as attributes, templates, and change process updates.

  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and coordinate resolutions with PLM tech support.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate various document approval workflows, resolve any issues, and ensure consistency in all documentation to maintain configuration control

  • Support day to day engineering administrative needs related to PLM and change control such as item creation, BOM updates, drawing and document revisions, change impact assessments etc.

  • Draft procedures, work instructions, guidelines, flowcharts etc. and train team members on PLM processes and change management best practices

  • Participate in CCB meetings and ensure timely closure of assigned changes

  • Support PLM integration activities with other business systems such as ERP, ECAD (Altium), MCAD (SolidWorks) etc. and additional functionality and feature improvements to support Supply Chain and Quality Management System (QMS) activities.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 5+ years in Document Control, Configuration Management or Engineering Change Management

  • Strong attention to detail with ability to set priorities to meet time-sensitive project deadlines and ability to manage multiple change workflows simultaneously

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company including internal cross‑functional engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree or higher preferable

  • 5+ years of direct working experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (Agile, Windchill, Arena or similar) or Product Database Management (PDM) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and any implementation experience is a huge plus

  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating change impacts, identifying inconsistencies, and solving system/process issues

  • Experience with writing procedures, work instructions, guidelines, flowcharts etc.

  • Configuration Management System experience

  • Prior work in the aerospace industry

  • Exposure to AS9100 and ISO9001 requirements and audits

  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance processes

  • Able to document and present technical information clearly

PLM Change Analyst/Document Control Specialist Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 USD.

Employees may be asked to support alternate shifts, extended shifts, and/or travel during peak work periods.
