Job summary

Donaldson in Frankfort, IN is seeking a Pleater Operator for a 2nd shift on-site role from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. You will work with the pleating process to assemble filtration media, monitor equipment, and ensure quality throughout the line.

You will coordinate with the pleater crew, perform routine maintenance, document production data, and support a safe, compliant work environment while meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• Pleat media within acceptable standards.
• Problem solve efficiently and effectively and make sound decisions, exhibiting mechanical aptitude.
• Coordinate work for pleater crew and work in a team environment toward a common goal.
• Work effectively with limited supervision.
• A combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and understand the operations and machines involved with the media pleating process.
• Recognize and understand the functions and capabilities of the pleating fixtures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment.
• Pleat media within acceptable quality and quantity standards as stated in the prints and/or route sheets.
• Plan for production on shift to provide line with continuous and constant assemblies.
• Coordinate work of the pleater crew and communicate effectively with crew members to correctly assemble product.
• Communicate effectively with material handlers to ensure correct media is supplied to the line in a timely manner.
• Perform quality checks and tests as assigned, following first piece and set-up sheets.
• Complete all applicable paperwork (scrap report, media usage sheet, media testing sheet, oil runs, etc.).
• Monitor production on line by noting variation of production rates and notify Team Leader when variation decreases pleater rate.
• Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
• Wear designated Personal Protective Equipment as required.
