Donaldson Company, Inc. is seeking a Pleater Operator for our on-site facility in Frankfort, IN. This 2nd shift role runs from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and requires teamwork to assemble filtration products in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include operating pleater equipment, performing basic maintenance, ensuring quality, and coordinating with the crew and material handlers. Compliance with safety and environmental policies is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hands-on machinery.
• Ability to coordinate work with a team and follow supervisor direction.

• Operate pleater equipment and understand pleating fixtures and media handling.
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and monitor quality and production rates.
• Coordinate with pleater crew and material handlers to ensure timely supply of media.
• Complete required paperwork and documents such as scrap reports and usage sheets.
• Adhere to safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies.

Role Location & Shift

The Pleater Operator role at our Frankfort, IN location involves working collaboratively to assemble filtration products in an innovative, team-oriented environment. This is a 2nd shift on-site position, with hours from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Role Responsibilities

Recognize and understand the operations and machines involved with the media pleating process Recognize and understand the functions and capabilities of the pleating fixtures. Performing preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment Pleat media within acceptable quality and quantity standards as stated in the prints and/or route sheets Plan for production on shift in order to provide line with continuous and constant assemblies Coordinate work of the pleater crew and communicating effectively with crew members to correctly assemble product Communicate effectively with material handlers to ensure correct media is supplied to the line in a timely manner Perform quality checks and tests as assigned, following first piece and set-up sheets. Completing all applicable paperwork (scrap report, media usage sheet, media testing sheet, oil runs, etc.) Monitor production on line by noting variation of production rates between pleater and potting and notifying the Team Leader when variation causes pleater rate to decrease Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures. Using all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required While this list is representative of essential job duties, it is not an all-inclusive list of duties required to perform this role. Minimum Qualifications

Pleat media within acceptable standards Problem solve efficiently and effectively and make sound decisions, exhibiting mechanical aptitude Coordinate work for pleater crew and work in a team environment toward a common goal Work effectively with limited supervision A combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma, or equivalent.

Salary

Hourly Rate: $27.44 Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance. This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
