Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active California State Bar membership.
• 4–6 years of litigation experience (malpractice defense / business lit).
• Strong knowledge of the California CCP and Evidence Code.
• Ability to independently manage client matters (discovery, motions, depositions, trial prep).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Desire to build a future with a mid-sized law firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage and litigate legal malpractice defense matters.
• Handle complex business litigation including breach of contract and disputes.
• Conduct thorough legal research and develop case strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other documents.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses.
• Prepare for mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Directly communicate with clients to provide updates and manage expectations.
