Jobot is hiring a Maintenance Technician with PLC knowledge for a die-casting facility in Quincy, IL. The role covers electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic maintenance on die cast machines, with a quarterly bonus and a 2nd shift option.

You will program PLCs, read blueprints, operate machine tools, and ensure safety in a foundry environment, lifting up to 50 pounds. HS diploma or GED required; BMCT testing may be required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED, plus 2 to 4 years of related experience.
• Trade school certificate or equivalent work experience qualifying for journeyman status in electrical, electronic or mechanical fields.
• Must pass BMCT testing.
• Makino experience and die casting industry background preferred.
• Strong blueprint and schematic reading, comfortable with diagnostic and test equipment.
• Comfortable in a foundry environment, heat, noise and physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Aufgaben

• Repair and maintain electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic systems on die cast machines, including preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Operate machine shop equipment, lathes, drill presses, saws, hand tools, meters, gauges and micrometers.
• Program PLCs for die cast and trim press operations, and troubleshoot electronic, electrical and mechanical issues.
• Support die maintenance and machine shop work areas.
• Communicate with supervisors and shift leaders to keep ongoing projects and repairs moving.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
