Markent Personnel seeks an Automation & Controls Engineer in Brown Deer, WI, to lead PLC/HMI programming and SCADA optimization across high-speed production lines. The role combines hands-on engineering with system integration and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

5+ years of dedicated experience in automation controls or electro-mechanical maintenance within continuous manufacturing environments.
3+ years writing, modifying, and debugging logic in Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC/HMI platforms.
3+ years managing AC/DC drives, VFDs, servo controls, pneumatics, and high-pressure hydraulic circuits.
Practical experience tracing complex schematics and industrial network topologies up to 480V.
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder residing near Brown Deer, WI area.

Responsibilities

Provide high-level floor support: troubleshoot complex control networks and high-speed drive systems to optimize facility uptime.
Execute PLC & HMI optimization: edit PLC logic and HMI with AB Studio 5000/RSLogix and Siemens TIA Portal.
Enhance SCADA & network systems: improve real-time data acquisition and predictive maintenance capabilities.
Engineer system upgrades: lead continuous improvement projects and redesign control architectures.
Support capital installs: coordinate with cross-functional teams during asset deployments and wiring.
Trace complex schematics: interpret multi-page diagrams up to 480V to resolve issues.
