Job summary
PepsiCo is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to design, program, repair, and maintain PLC systems across Pepsi bottling/processing facilities. The role includes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance per manufacturer specs, and mentoring newer technicians.
Position requires working near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals, with potential weekend/holiday work. Minnesota Journeyman license is required; travel and cross-line support may be needed.
Qualifications
- Maintains PLC systems with preventive maintenance per specs.
- Reads and applies manuals and schematics for repairs.
- Ensures safety and GMP compliance during maintenance work.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on PLC systems.
- Program or perform repairs on PLC systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance or repairs on advanced production equipment as needed; breakdown analysis.
- Oversee or perform general housekeeping.
- Upgrade production lines with new equipment/technology.
- Direct activities of outside contractors on the line.
- Change line for package changeovers.
- Enforce GMP, safety, and audit standards.
- Work independently under limited supervision.
- Document work schedules and tasks completed.
