Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a skilled PLC Electrical Technician for our Dudley, NC plywood manufacturing facility. This hourly role requires safety discipline, troubleshooting expertise, and hands-on maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes.

The position offers a challenging environment with a 10-hour shift (Mon–Fri) and weekend variability. Training to begin on days for ~2 months, then move to night shift as needed. Sign-on bonus of $3,000 applies.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing setting.
• At least 1 year of PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting pneumatic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic equipment, circuits, and components.

Responsibilities

• Programming and troubleshooting Control Logix programs.
• Reading electrical schematics, and equipment layouts.
• Assisting with internal and corporate projects and upgrades.
• Troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshooting, and replacing control devices.
• Supporting electricians with difficult troubleshooting as needed.
• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines and policies.
• Helping meet or exceed production waste and quality goals.
• Helping on any shift, including holidays, weekends and overtime as needed.
