Job summary

Hutchinson in Wytheville, VA seeks a maintenance technician to repair and maintain machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment on production lines. You will troubleshoot, dismantle, adjust parts, operate metalworking tools, and contribute to quality and safety programs while supporting production operations.

A two-year degree or equivalent and PLC experience are preferred, with opportunities to grow within a global manufacturing group.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or related experience.
• Must have PLC experience and ability to troubleshoot production equipment.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides maintenance support for production operations.
• Troubleshoots and repairs production equipment and devices.
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Initiates corrective actions to prevent nonconformities and supports quality systems.
