The position focuses on building controls software from the ground up for complex automated machinery, including robotic cells and sorting systems. You will own design, implementation, and on-site commissioning with substantial travel to client sites in the Greater Milwaukee area. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of controls depth, a relevant engineering degree, and strong experience with Rockwell

Qualifications

• Ground-Up controls experience using Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms (Studio 5000/RSLogix)
• Bachelor’s/Associate degree in automation, EE, CS, or related field
• Willingness to travel 25–50% for client rollouts
• Proven stability with prior engineering teams
• Residence within 45-minute drive of Greater Milwaukee area

Responsibilities

• Architect Ground-Up PLC/HMI software from scratch for automated machinery, robotic cells, and sorting systems using Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View.
• Engineer high-level interfaces with Visual Studio, C#, and databases for enterprise data tracking.
• Audit control schematics in AutoCAD to ensure BOM alignment and safety standards.
• Configure networks & motion: EtherNet/IP, servo drives, machine vision, and safety PLCs.
• Lead on-site client commissioning, supervising installations and final system sign-offs.
