Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a PLC/Controls Engineer to support our Marion, IN facility. The role includes designing, developing, installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, upgrading and backing up PLC and computer software for production equipment.

You will collaborate with maintenance staff, electricians and external firms to ensure safe and efficient operation. Qualifications include 5+ years in manufacturing, PLC programming, CAD, and a background in Electrical/Electronics engineering.

Qualifications

5+ years in manufacturing (wire & cable experience preferred).
PLC programming and CAD skills required; Wonderware experience a plus.
Knowledge of EH&S regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain expertise in wire and cable equipment and processes.
Troubleshoot and maintain electrical/electronic systems to optimize performance.
Lead projects from design through installation, cost control, and commissioning.
Coordinate with maintenance, electricians, and outside firms per the contractor management program.
Document all work and maintain up-to-date software backups and system records.
Provide guidance to the team on PLC programs and drive systems.
