Job summary

KNAPP North America is seeking a Control Systems Engineer - PLC to support our customers' automated warehouses. You will monitor and troubleshoot Storage, Conveyor and Sorter PLC-controlled equipment, diagnose faults, and guide on-site resources toward resolution within defined SLAs.

Responsibilities include incident triage, change control, and collaboration with IT and maintenance teams to restore services, while maintaining thorough documentation and proactive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as electrical, automation, or controls engineering.
Strong incident communication, documentation, and cross-team coordination skills.
3+ years supporting intralogistics automation and PLC-based systems.
Ability to diagnose faults across PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

Monitor and support PLC-controlled Storage, Conveyor and Sorter automation to keep operations running.
Triage incidents, diagnose faults in PLC logic, HMIs, sensors, drives, and networks.
Restore service via root-cause fixes or approved workarounds; document changes.
Coordinate with on-site maintenance and remote teams; escalate when needed.
Communicate system status and provide clear handovers with risk and next actions.
