Job summary

LSH Elementary is seeking responsible, energetic, and caring individuals to join our team as Playground/Recess Supervisors. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safety and well-being of students during outdoor recess and playground activities.

Hours are 10:20 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Candidates should be able to monitor students, maintain a safe environment, and report concerns to staff. Contact Katie Maier for questions at [e-mail] or 507-665-4700.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well with elementary-aged children.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and manage groups of children.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Previous experience in a school or childcare setting is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise students during recess times.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
• Promote positive behavior and resolve minor conflicts among students.
• Assist with maintaining playground equipment and ensuring it is used appropriately.
• Follow all school policies and procedures to ensure student safety.
• Report any concerns or incidents to school staff.
