Playground Aide:
Requires outside work and following safety rules.
Works in all types of weather extremes.
Ensure the safety of all children at assigned schools/cross walk.
Stop traffic at appropriate times.
Enter the intersection prior to the first child and remain there until the last is safely across.
Standing and walking are regular functions of this position.
Wear safety vest and use hand held stop sign to control traffic flow.
Monitor student(s) individually, in small or large groups in a variety of circumstances
Requires mobility to walk around the playground.
Assumes responsibility for play equipment.
Organizes group games and activities as needed.

Shift is during noon hour, typically between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
