Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Teacher. In this role, the successful candidate assists Head Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons; works with a team to provide a stimulating environment and activities; encourages parent involvement; sets individual goals and records anecdotal observations for each child; keeps the room clean; helps with toileting; and performs other various classroom duties.

  • Uses the Germ Box effectively
  • Follows the diaper changing / potty procedures for children accordingly and as needed
  • Follows the When to Wash Hand policies as posted in the classroom
  • Follows the hand washing procedures accordingly
  • Inspects outdoor and indoor play areas prior to play
Minimum Qualifications
  • To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience in childcare
  • Health and Safety Trainings
  • CDA Certificate

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $36,153.00 - $39,950.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
