Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Houston operates the Players' Lounge Service Desk, delivering friendly customer service and managing seating maps for racing events. The role reports to the Guest Services Manager and requires English proficiency and cash handling skills.

Starting salary is $13.00 per hour, with base pay included in a Total Rewards package that features day-one medical coverage, a 401(k) match, and an annual performance bonus. Training is provided by the department manager.

Qualifications

• Must possess good verbal communication skills with solid customer service orientation.
• Cash handling and accurate math skills required.
• Must be adaptable to a variety of specialized computer software applications.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service.
• Sell betting carrels and manage seating map of Players' Lounge.
• Handle and resolve any customer needs or problems in Players' Lounge.
• Administer basic procedures for Park Rewards program.
• Turn televisions on and off; adjust channels as necessary.
• Sell programs and other racing related periodicals when required.
• Neatly and accurately complete inventory and till sheets.
• Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of Park services, promotions and events.
• Assist other department personnel as directed.
• Keep work area clean and neat, display products as directed.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
