Responsibilities

• Ensure interactions with internal and external guests follow the guidelines of the “Eye, Hi Good-bye” Program.
• Maintain a balanced cashier's station.
• Process cash transactions for casino customers and employees, including cashing TITO tickets, personal checks, travelers checks, exchanging currency, and processing cash advances.
• Be knowledgeable and comply with Title 31 regulations.
• Enroll patrons into the Players Club, issue Players Club cards, maintain accurate player tracking information, and assist the Marketing Department with casino promotions.
• Work the main bank as assigned.
• Answer phone calls with proper etiquette.
• Comply with state, company, and department policies and regulations.
• Assist supervisors and co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of cashiering or heavy money handling experience.
• Able to follow instructions promptly and accurately.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Effective in presenting information one-on-one and in small groups to customers, clients, and colleagues.
• Proficient in basic math operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and interpret bar graphs.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.
• Must be licensed by the Maine Gambling Control Board.
• Physically capable of pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 25 lbs., and performing tasks involving reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, stacking, crouching, kneeling, and balancing in various work environments.
