Job summary

Bluejack National in Texas is seeking a friendly Player Services Attendant to greet members and guests, coordinate with the Starter, and maintain a polished image throughout shifts.

You will perform range duties, assist with setup and breakdown, keep balls and seats organized, and promote club activities while upholding grooming and service standards. Prior hospitality or golf club experience is a plus, with the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience in high-end golf/country club or hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Excellent human relations skills with a talent for motivating staff and members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service and assistance to all members and guests.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
  • Maintain grooming standards and ensure a polished presentation.
  • Be informed on and promote all club activities and services.
  • Resolve member complaints and be an ambassador for Bluejack National.
  • Set up and break down of practice grounds and related facilities.
  • Coordinate with the Starter to send groups to the golf course.
  • Clean players' clubs after each use and before leaving the range.
  • Fill coolers with bottled water and ice at various points.
  • Clear golf balls from putting and chipping greens between sessions.
  • Update yardages to target greens as needed when stations move.
  • Keep outdoor furniture clean and presentable.
  • Remove trash and debris from practice grounds as necessary.
  • Carry a player's bag to and from the cart when they arrive at the range.
  • Assist with retrieving broken tees and divots after sessions.
  • Other duties as requested by Bluejack leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide excellent service,andassistanceto allmembers and guests.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner andmaintaina professional image at all times.
  • Maintain a clean-shaven appearance at the start of each shift to uphold company grooming standards and ensure a professional presentation.
  • Be informedon andpromote all club activities and services.
  • Resolve member complaints andbe a Bluejack National ambassador at all times.
  • Champion Bluejack customs, culture, and guidelines.
  • Set-up and break down of practice grounds including but not limited to, driving range, “The Playground”,short game areas, practice putting green, golf performance center “The Place”.
  • Picking range balls throughout the day and clean picking at night.
  • Coordinating with the Starter to send groups to the golf course.
  • Cleaning players clubs after each use and prior to leaving the range.
  • Filling coolers with bottled water and ice stationed throughout the practice area.
  • Clearing golf balls off putting green and chipping greensin-betweenplayer sessions.
  • Updating yardages to target greens as necessary when the hitting stations move.
  • Keeping outdoor furniture clean and presentable.
  • Removing trash and other debris from practicegroundsas necessary.
  • Carrying a player’s bag to and from the cart when they arrive at the range.
  • Picking up broken tees and divots from the tier after each member session.
  • Additional duties as requested by Bluejack leadership.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Prior experience in high-end golf/country club or hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Strong communicationand correspondence skills with the ability to maintain sound working relationships and communications with members, management, staff, ownership, prospective members and vendors.
  • Enjoy working with Members, guests, and children.
  • Requires excellent oral and writtencommunicationsskills.
  • Excellent human relations skills, with a talent for motivating staff and members.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Ability to function under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions.
  • High work ethic, with sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:

Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities that make up the work environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. The employee may be working outside or inside and indifferent types of weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain and sunshine. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Likely this role will require the ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner.
