- Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests.
- Efficiently and accurately process all pari-mutuel wages in the tote system.
- Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensure compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statutes and regulations.
- Write sports tickets in an accurate and timely manner.
- Create and enter player tracking cards.
- Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets and payoffs.
- Maintain a cash bank for his/her shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary.
- Exchange cash and coins in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash-handling policies and procedures.
- Assist guests with credit applications.
- Verify credit approval for casino departments.
- Perform credit card cash advances.
- Issue and receive payments.
- Cash personal, travelers, and payroll checks in compliance with approved procedures.
- Count down bank or window at end of each shift and reconcile to the draw amount.
- Complete a blind drop on all revenues collected during the shift.
- Operate assigned bank or window according to department and regulatory guidelines.
- Complete all required shift paperwork according to internal control standards.
- Record any applicable cash transactions that are required by Federal Law.
- Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties.
- Provide information and assistance to customers in a friendly, courteous manner to ensure the delivery of guest service. Offer information on activities, etc., and direct guests for further information as necessary.
- Manage difficult guest situations; respond promptly to guest needs; seek guest feedback to improve service; respond to requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.
- Stock stations with adequate supplies; keep all stations neat and clean.

- General cashiering background or prior money handling experience preferred.
- Previous experience in race and sportsbook preferred.
- Working knowledge of sports.
- Knowledge of tote system to place customer bets.
- Must have previous experience with jet sort, coin roller, check cashing, and credit card cash advance systems.
- Efficiency and accuracy when entering guests wagers and paying out winners.
- Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required.
- Ability to learn and comply with department, property, and regulatory policy and procedure.
- Other duties, as needed.
STARTING SALARY
$13.25 an hour
