Job summary

Graton Resort & Casino in Rohnert Park, CA is seeking a Playbook Sports Bar Server Assistant to support the bar and dining room operations. You will buss tables, stock service stations, and assist servers to ensure efficient service and a high-quality guest experience.

Position Summary:
The Playbook Sports Bar Server Assistant supports the bar and dining room by bussing tables, stockingservice stations, maintaining bar cleanliness, and assisting servers and bartenders to ensure efficientservice and high-quality guest experience. This role is also responsible for delivering food from the kitchenin a timely and accurate manner, ensuring orders are complete and delivered to the correct seat. Theposition requires close collaboration with kitchen and front-of-house teams while maintaining cleanliness,organization, and a professional, polished demeanor.

Essential Functions

• 1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
• 2. Maintain in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage offerings; confidently explain the menu andmake recommendations using prescribed verbiage.
• 3. Follow the department's steps of service consistently to ensure a high-quality guest experience.
• 4. Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct table in a timely, professional manner, ensuring properpresentation, garnishes, temperature, and quality.
• 5. Provide bread and water service according to service standards.
• 6. Monitor guest satisfaction, anticipate guest needs, and address concerns or requests promptly, escalating issues to servers or management when appropriate.
• 7. Communicate effectively with kitchen, expo, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service andaccurate orders.
• 8. Assist with setting up, maintaining, and breaking down the dining room, back bar, service stations, andexpo areas, including condiments, utensils, and napkins.
• 9. Clear tables, bars, and service areas of dirty dishes and glassware using prescribed methods.
• 10. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation in all work areas, including dining room,kitchen, back bar, and service stations.
• 11. Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
• 12. Provide attentive, friendly, and personalized service throughout the dining experience.
• 13. Assist with additional tasks as directed by supervisors or managers.

Required Qualifications

• 1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written andverbal form. Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
• 2. One (1) year of experience in gourmet, fine dining, or high-volume restaurants.
• 3. Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 4. Must possess or obtain a California Food Handler Certification.
• 5. Ability to handle a flexible work schedule, working weekends, holidays, and all shifts.
