San Francisco Unified School District seeks an Early Childhood Out of School Time Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to deliver high-quality PK instruction in alignment with SFUSD Early Education guidelines. The role emphasizes play-based, developmentally appropriate practices to support language, literacy, math, and social-emotional development in preschoolers from diverse backgrounds.

The position requires a CTC Child Development Teacher Permit or higher, with preferred bilingual ability

Formación

• CTC Child Development Teacher Permit or higher
• Bilingual skills (e.g., Cantonese or Spanish), preferred
• CTC Site Supervisor Permit, preferred
• AA or BA degree in Early Childhood Education, preferred

Responsabilidades

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based instruction aligned with California Preschool Transitional Kindergarten Learning Foundations and SFUSD EED curriculum frameworks
• Provide instruction that supports language development, early literacy, foundational mathematics, and social-emotional learning
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom that promotes exploration, independence, and positive behavior
• Maintain a warm, inviting, and intentionally designed classroom environment that serves as a third teacher
• Observe, document, and assess student progress using EED-approved assessment tools; use data to inform instruction and individualize learning
• Implement culturally and linguistically responsive practices that honor the diverse identities of students and families
• Establish and maintain ongoing communication with families, including conferences, progress updates, and family engagement activities
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and school staff to support student learning and program coherence
• Maintain accurate student records in accordance with SFUSD policies and state/federal requirements
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, meals, and outdoor play in accordance with licensing and district guidelines
• Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing regulations and EED program requirements
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and EED trainings as required
• Prepare and maintain classroom materials, equipment, and learning environments
• Perform other related duties as assigned
