Job summary

Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is seeking a Part-Time Play & Learn Staff member to join our team in Wrens, GA. You will work directly with children, lead age-appropriate activities, and help maintain staff-to-child ratios, while communicating with parents and members to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Join Our YMCA Team – Play & Learn Staff

Do you enjoy working with children and helping create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for families? The Family Y is looking for energetic and dependable Play & Learn Staffto join our team!

Status: Part-Time | Hourly

In this role, you'll work directly with children while helping provide day-to-day leadership in our Play & Learn area. You'll support and guide team members, maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios, lead age-appropriate activities, communicate with parents and members, and help ensure a clean, safe, and positive environment.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old with a high school education
• Enjoys working with children and families
• Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Is dependable, positive, energetic, and a team player
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. and actively participate in activities with children
• Can obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 45 days of employment
• Can successfully complete required background and drug screening

Experience working with school-age children or youth programs and education or training in Early Childhood Education/Child Development are preferred.
