Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a motivated Machine Operator for the 1st shift in Lincoln, NH. You will operate machine shop equipment, perform precision tasks, and assist in producing standard or customized products to required specifications.

Key responsibilities include reading basic blueprints, recording parts produced (including scrap), and maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret tape measures or measuring devices.
• Machine operator experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs typical machine shop and press operations.
• Operates a press production, braid winding, lathe or crimping machine in accordance with procedures.
• Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, BOMs or other instructions.
• Accurately record number of parts produced including good and scrap.
• Maintain inventory of product in workstations.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure product meets standards.
• Identify product defects and report them.
• Maintain safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping standards.

Job Summary:

Uses machines and equipment to assist with manufacturing, while performing specialized tasks to create and produce a standard or customized product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs typical machine shop and press operations.
• Operates a press production, braid winding, lathe or crimping machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings, bills of material or other written instructions or procedures.
• Accurately record number of parts produced both good and scrap.
• Utilize hand tools such as a handheld screwdriver and drill guns.
• Maintain inventory of product in workstations.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify product defects and report them.
• Operate functional area equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping standards as required.
• Maintain accurate and timely data.
• Report any safety problems, hazards, accidents and near misses to management.
• Adjust machine settings as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Properly use safety equipment, including machine guarding, interlocks and safety curtains are working properly or report it.
• Able to troubleshoot and resolve simple quality product issues.
• Meet standards and tolerances.
• Other job tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret tape measure or measuring devices.
• Machine Operator experience preferred.
