Job summary

Advantest America Inc. is seeking a plating technician in South Plainfield, NJ. You will review blueprints, load plating lines, and operate copper plating equipment to ensure high-quality PCB finishes.

You’ll monitor parameters, perform quality checks, and maintain equipment while upholding strict safety standards. The role emphasizes collaboration with technicians and engineers to sustain efficient production and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably experience with PCB plating processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review setup, blueprints, and work order instructions to determine plating requirements and equipment settings.
• Load and unload production panels from plating lines.
• Set up, operate, and monitor plating equipment, including automated copper plating lines and other electroplating machinery.
• Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain product quality.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols for chemical handling.
• Work collaboratively with technicians, engineers, and other team members to ensure efficient production flow.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, parameters, and quality inspection results.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review setup, blueprints, and work order instructions to determine plating requirements and equipment settings.
• Load and unload production panels from plating lines.
• Set up, operate, and monitor plating equipment, including automated copper plating lines and other electroplating machinery.
• Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain product quality.

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Basic computer skills for operating machinery controls.
