Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking a Plating Operator in Santa Ana, CA to apply Post Chromate coatings to steel parts and support the plating department.

The role requires familiarity with racking, tank chromate treatment, and pre-cleaning steps, with emphasis on safety and quality practices. Responsibilities include operating safely under PPE guidelines, performing in-process inspections, maintaining equipment, and documenting operations.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma preferred but not required.
• 2–3 years experience in plating or related manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic shop math.
• Follow safety guidelines (PPE) and quality processes.
• Lift up to 45 lbs and perform overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Apply Post Chromate coatings to steel parts and support plating operations.
• Maintain and repair plating equipment and racking components.
• Perform intermediate racking and loading of product; minor chemical additions.
• Complete process documentation and ensure traceability.
• Work in a team, follow instructions, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
