Job summary

Avispa MedOps in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Plating Operator 2 (Day Shift) to prepare, process, and inspect precision machined parts in an automated electroplating operation. The role is onsite, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 40-hour workweek on a 24-month assignment.

Requirements include 1+ year in plating or metrology and the ability to read prints and GD&T, plus proven assembly experience and careful handling of delicate parts. Compensation is $23/hour with full benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in plating, metrology, or measurement tooling, and in critical cosmetic inspection and handling of delicate parts.
• Proven success in an assembly position or similar operation.
• Ability to read prints and comprehend GD&T methodology.

Responsibilities

• Perform plating operator duties once chemical handling responsibilities are fulfilled, including preparing machined parts for the electroplating process.
• Load prepared parts into the automated plating system, load the appropriate recipe program for each part, and initiate and monitor the plating process.
• Inspect parts for defects after plating using various inspection criteria and tools.
