Job summary

Primetals Technologies USA in Blytheville, AR is hiring for the role of 1st shift Chrome Plater. This entry‑level position requires no prior plating experience, though applicants with plating experience will receive priority consideration.

Responsibilities include maintenance of plating equipment, preparation and pre-treatment of parts, chrome plating, unmasking, testing and ensuring plating thickness; operate overhead crane; verify specifications.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen.
• Entry level position with no prior plating experience required; applicants with prior plating experience will receive priority consideration.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of plating solution, tanks, pumps, filters and other equipment associated with the process.
• Preparation of parts: hand finishing, masking and installation of hangers and contacts.
• Pre-treatment of parts: removal of grease, oil, and residues utilizing chemical or cleaning solutions.
• Chrome plating of parts: operating overhead crane to submerge part into plating tank.
• Unmask parts after removal from plating tank.
• Testing of the plating process to ensure compliance with required specifications. Adjusting pH of the bath and amperage on electrical rectifiers as required.
• Verify correct plating thickness per specification.
• May perform heat tests on parts to ensure adhesion.

We are currently recruiting to fill the role of 1st shift Chrome Plater in Blytheville, AR.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen.

Classification and base pay rate will be dependent upon skillset and prior experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of plating solution, tanks, pumps, filters and other equipment associated with the process.
