Job summary

Vicor is an American manufacturer of advanced 48V centric DC-DC converters with industry-leading power and current density. We are seeking a Chemical Handler for the plating floor to manage chemicals and support process integration, while upholding safety and compliance.

You will monitor day tank levels, assist with chemical disposal, support the lab with analysis, and operate a forklift for material moves. This entry-level role offers growth within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent communication and team work skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to be on your feet all day.
• Lifts up to 40 lbs.
• Forklift certification required or training provided.
• Use of PPE for chemical handling and spill response.

Responsibilities

• Manage all chemicals for the plating floor.
• Monitor chemical levels in day tanks and add as needed.
• Handle chemical movement and handling.
• Maintain inventory levels with procurement.
• Support lab with chemical analysis (titration, ICP, UV-Vis).
• Dispose of expired or unused chemicals.
• Process hazardous waste manifests.
• Cross-train as a lab technician for process analysis.
• Operate a forklift to put pallets away and move drums.
