The Core Data Services team is central to Data and Analytics initiatives. We are building a modern data platform to support enterprise data needs. Our mission is to empower our data community—including data engineers, data scientists, analysts, product teams, and decision-makers—to create value.

The team comprises Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Enablement, and Operations. We focus on building a high-performance, modern enterprise Data Lake, supporting existing data platforms, maximizing functionality, creating data assets, optimizing costs, and enhancing usability of data delivery and services. Success is measured by these outcomes. We are seeking a Data Engineer - Platform, You!

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

This hands-on software engineering role involves building secure, scalable APIs with automation skills to design, develop, deploy, and maintain testable, secure APIs.

The platform will provide:

• The foundation for all critical software.
• Security products to support data engineers.
• Tools to empower product teams to deliver software robustly and at scale.
• Participation in on-call rotations/PagerDuty for platform support.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING:

• Strong hands-on experience in API programming with languages such as Python, Django, Flask, etc., and in writing production software and automations.
• Experience with system design, API development, testing, and operational stability. Experience with CI tools like GitHub Actions.
• Experience utilizing AWS services, serverless architectures, Kubernetes, batch processing, and real-time event orchestration.
• Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle and agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions and provide technical support and guidance.
• Up-to-date knowledge of engineering technologies and trends.
