What is The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer that has experience operating in a multi-cloud environment along with a fast paced engineering and development team.

What You Will Be Doing:

Working as part of an open, fast paced and highly collaborative team environment with software like Hashicorp Vault, Terraform, and Ansible.

Responsible for efforts involving vulnerability management, access automation, and continuous control monitoring.

Collaboration with talented engineers and developers to deploy into new environments with security in mind.

Designing, implementing, and maintaining controls for a large-multi cloud environment leveraging AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM.

What You Bring:

You are a critical thinker and are passionate about learning and growing your skillset and love to openly share your experiences with the team

You've had exposure to Cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP and are familiar with automation in these environment

You can operate within a GitHub driven organization and are comfortable communicating to large audiences over email and in real time with chat programs such as Slack or video "face-to-face" in Zoom.

Excellent interpersonal skills, an outstanding team member mentality, with strong analytical, problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills

Bonus Points:

Your approach to security is pragmatic - you think of the right solutions that meet security standards but are creative as to not hinder development and engineering progress

You love to learn new things and strive to continuously learn and challenge yourself and others

You feel comfortable working in a remote environment and can communicate both synchronously and asynchronously with a team that's distributed across multiple time zones

Background in coding with languages such as GoLang, Python, and familiarity with Java and Scala

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.

Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
