Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Platform Security Engineer for Wallet Payments & Commerce to design, build, and operate security frameworks on a Kubernetes-based developer platform spanning multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in platform security or related security engineering.
• Experience in Go, Kotlin/Java and Spring Framework.
• Familiarity with cloud security architecture design.
• Strong written and verbal communication across global teams.
• Ability to influence engineering culture through documentation and collaboration.
• The BS in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal security frameworks, libraries, tools and processes for engineers.
• Design and implement security frameworks, controls, tooling, and automation for a Kubernetes-based multi-cloud platform serving Wallet & Payments Engineering.
• Champion secure-by-default infrastructure patterns and drive adoption of safe engineering practices without sacrificing velocity.
• Partner with platform, product, and infra teams to identify security risks and deliver mitigations at the architectural level.
• Conduct threat modeling of new platform capabilities to embed security early.
• Respond to and lead resolution of security incidents with post-incident reviews.
• Work with AI tooling and ensure correctness of what you ship.
