Zusammenfassung

Brain Co. is seeking a Platform Security Engineer Co-Op Intern to help build security into production AI systems.

You will work alongside security, platform, and infrastructure engineers on CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure. You’ll contribute to security tooling, threat modeling, and hands-on security implementations while learning from experienced engineers and gaining mentorship.

Qualifikationen

• Current undergraduate student, junior or senior pursuing CS/Engineering/Cybersecurity.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience programming in Python, Go, Java, C++, or Bash.
• Exposure to or interest in application security, platform security, cloud security, or infrastructure security.
• Familiar with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Interest in CI/CD, containers, cloud infrastructure, and deployment workflows.
• Curious, proactive, and able to learn quickly in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
• Ownership mindset and learning from engineers.

Aufgaben

• Help build security controls in CI/CD pipelines, including static analysis, secrets scanning, dependency checks, and automated policy enforcement.
• Develop developer-facing security tooling such as linting rules, reusable workflows, automation, and guardrails.
• Secure Kubernetes and containerized workloads with access controls, image security, workload configuration, and deployment policies.
• Contribute to security baselines in Terraform and Infrastructure‑as‑Code, including IAM, networking, encryption, and secure defaults.
• Work with cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure to identify misconfigurations and improve security visibility.
• Automate detection and remediation of common security issues.
• Participate in threat modeling, code reviews, and architecture discussions with security and platform engineers.
• Turn security findings into practical, actionable fixes.
• Improve documentation and tooling so security controls are easy for developers to understand and adopt.
