Job summary

Factory is seeking a talented Security Engineer to join our team in San Francisco. In this role, you will develop and maintain the security foundation of our platform, conduct in-depth code reviews, implement security best practices, and influence the overall security strategy.

You will apply TypeScript, Python, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Terraform orchestration to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, work with engineering teams to bake security into the software lifecycle, and lead security

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Security Engineer focused on product security.
• Strong cloud security with AWS/Azure/GCP and IaC security.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Python.
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR and audits.
• Security tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM).
• Ability to influence security strategies and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage security measures for cloud infra, apps, data.
• Integrate security into the SDLC with secure coding and automated testing.
• Stay updated on threats and mitigation strategies.
• Conduct security code reviews to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Develop automated security testing procedures and mitigations.
• Respond to security incidents and participate in IR.
• Document security processes and best practices.
• Lead security awareness and training for the team.
