Job summary

Winixx Inc. is a New York-based technology holding company creating WinixxOS for a broad hardware lineup, including phones, tablets, wearables, POS devices, and gaming consoles.

This is early-stage, high-ownership platform engineering—shaping foundational decisions for a new OS and hardware ecosystem. The Platform Security Engineer works with the Senior Security Engineer to implement and maintain security controls across WinixxOS, supporting reviews, policy enforcement, and vulnerability

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in security engineering, with exposure to Android or AOSP platforms
• Strong knowledge of SELinux, Android permissions, and sandboxing concepts
• Familiarity with secure boot and TEE concepts
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and remediation workflows
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work across security, UI, and API teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Security, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain SELinux policy and permissions enforcement across the platform
• Support secure boot and verified boot chain implementation and testing
• Conduct security testing and vulnerability assessments on system services and HAL components
• Assist with payment-grade security implementation for the POS device class
• Monitor and triage security reports, coordinating remediation with relevant platform teams
• Maintain security documentation and internal best-practice guidelines
• Support security reviews of third-party SDK and API surfaces
• Stay current on Android/AOSP CVEs and platform security advisories
