Job summary

C1.ai is building a horizontal identity platform in the United States. We seek engineers to own the reliability and scalability of our cloud and FedRAMP environments, and to build observability that drives rapid action across teams.

You’ll automate, optimize incidents, and partner with product teams to ensure features are reliable from day one. Strong cloud, IaC, and Kubernetes experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of running production systems at scale.
• Deep cloud experience (AWS/GCP or similar) and IaC tooling.
• Strong coding in Go or Python and automation focus.
• Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes in production.
• Systems thinking with reliable, observable architectures.
• High agency and ability to move fast and unblock yourself.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
• Clear, persuasive communication across diverse audiences.
• Ego in check; focus on getting it right, not being right.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability and scalability of the platform across core and FedRAMP environments.
• Build observability: monitoring, alerting, and tooling for rapid incident response.
• Drive operational excellence with product teams from the start.
• Automate repetitive tasks; treat infrastructure as code and reduce toil.
• Lead incident response, postmortems, and systemic improvements.
• Plan and execute infrastructure projects with incremental, value-driven deliverables.
