Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a product owner for the Knowledge & Semantic Platform to drive AI-powered solutions across the organization. You will define semantic models, oversee the backlog, and partner with engineering, data teams, and clients to evolve ontology and metadata standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration across teams and an AI-enabled development approach, with a focus on scalable platform capabilities and knowledge asset reuse.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• 2+ years of product management or ownership experience.
• 3–5 years in enterprise platforms, knowledge management, semantic technologies, or AI-enabled products.
• Experience with ontology, knowledge graphs, taxonomy, semantic modeling, metadata management.
• Experience partnering with engineering and data teams to translate concepts into scalable semantic models.

Responsibilities

• Own the product backlog and near-term roadmap for Knowledge & Semantic Platform capabilities (ontology, knowledge graph, taxonomy, metadata management, semantic modeling).
• Conduct discovery with internal clients to understand business concepts, data relationships, and AI use cases.
• Define requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, semantic models, and validation approaches.
• Partner with engineering leads, AI Delivery, data engineering, security, and design teams to translate concepts into reusable platform capabilities.
• Balance delivery priorities across client needs, engineering capacity, governance, and data stewardship.
• Collaborate with teams using agentic coding tools and AI-assisted development environments to improve delivery quality.
• Support implementation planning, release readiness, and adoption activities with consistent semantic standards.
• Use metrics and feedback to refine backlog priorities and platform adoption.
