What you will be doing

The Platform Owner is responsible to lead the strategic development, governance, and support of the project management platform across Umicore’s business units, ensuring optimal usage, integration, and alignment with project management objectives.

• Ensure the project management platform evolves to meet business needs.
• Align with Platform Owners from other Business Units to harmonize and simplify the functionalities & governance across a larger user base.
• Interface with suppliers and central IT to ensure adequate prioritization of issues & changes, engagement of all stakeholders and issue resolution.
• Manage change requests and align with budget and timeline.
• Lead IT integration projects to connect the platform with other systems (document storage, data lake, business intelligence, ERP, etc.).
• Align platform with strategic objectives (business unit & PMO department).
• Empowers senior management to take correct decisions by creating and maintaining business intelligence reports based on the platform data.
• Manage connected applications required for a seamless integration.
• Drive the use of the platform in key business processes.
• Distribute and coordinate maintenance activities with business unit stakeholders to ensure quality, alignment, and timely delivery.
• Provide hands-on guidance and troubleshooting support to departmental administrators & business owners to ensure seamless platform operations.
• Promote platform adoption & enable users to fully leverage its capabilities.
• The team is based in Brussels, but you can be based in any of our offices in Europe.

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, IT, or Business Management with a strong passion for IT
• Project Management certification is a plus
• 3+ years experience in project management systems
• Software expertise in Project Management tools (ideally Planisware) and business intelligence tools (ideally PowerBI) - knowledge of Sharepoint and SAP is a plus
• Good communicator, strong interpersonal skills and promoter of inter-team cooperation
• Fluent in English – knowledge of other languages (especially Dutch / French) is a plus
• Open minded and customer-oriented mindset
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Leadership without close supervision
