Insight Global is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer (DevOps Engineer) to support a high-impact space and defense program in a classified environment. You will deploy, configure, and maintain OpenShift infrastructure while partnering with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and program teams to ensure secure, stable, and scalable operations.

This hands-on role focuses on automation, incident response, and continuous improvement of platform reliability.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • 2+ years of experience in Systems Administration or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience administering and supporting OpenShift environments.
  • Strong Linux administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and operational environments.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across multiple technology domains.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and support enterprise OpenShift environments.
  • Perform Linux systems administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Manage and support platform infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, and application services.
  • Automate deployments, operational processes, and system maintenance activities.
  • Respond to incidents, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and restore system functionality.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point during deployments and operational events.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to ensure platform reliability and security.
  • Support mission-critical applications running within classified environments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, scalability, and operational excellence.

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer (DevOps Engineer) to support a high-impact space and defense program in a classified environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, driving platform reliability, and supporting mission-critical systems.

You will play a key role in deploying, configuring, and maintaining OpenShift infrastructure while partnering with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and program teams to ensure secure, stable, and scalable operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as:

  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or equivalent).
  • Industry certifications such as:
  • Security+
  • RHCSA
  • RHCE
  • CISSP

Compensation:

$125,000 to $135,000 per year annual salary. [If client has provided an exact salary, then

no need to use a range; also, if the client has provided an hourly rate, then use same hourly

language from the Contract/Contract-to-Hire section above.]

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
