Job summary

Brain Co. is building AI-native operating systems for regulated institutions with Atlas at the core. As a Machine Learning Engineer on Platform, you will develop core ML capabilities that power production products—improving document extraction, model routing, and evaluation across use cases.

You’ll work at the intersection of research and production, applying LLMs, RL fine-tuning, and agentic systems to create reusable platform capabilities used by multiple pods and customers.

Qualifications

• Understanding of how machine learning really works beyond tooling.
• Experience with prompting and tuning large language models.
• Ability to reason about model performance and system impacts.

Responsibilities

• Turn pod needs into platform capabilities that scale across products.
• Own capabilities end-to-end with production ownership.
• Work at the research frontier while keeping production stakes in mind.
• Serve internal customers (project pods) as true customers of capabilities.
• Engineer for production reality: balance accuracy, latency, cost, and reliability.
• Raise the bar across the company by turning learnings into reusable components.
