Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership and ownership of complex systems.
• Expert in PHP, Laravel, REST APIs, AWS cloud services, relational databases (MySQL preferred).
• Strong development, DevOps, and collaboration skills in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for platform development, set engineering standards, and ensure high quality, secure code through reviews.
• Lead platform engineering by building scalable services, shared libraries, and APIs using PHP and Laravel.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical debt reduction and refactoring initiatives.
• Design AWS-based services, manage databases, and optimize SQL for scalable data architecture.
• Ensure platform reliability, security, and observability across the stack.
