Flowcode is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help build scalable, reliable services for the Flowcode 2 application. This role combines architectural leadership and hands-on development, focusing on high-performance backend systems. Ideal candidates will have over 8 years of experience in engineering, strong API design skills, and expertise with cloud infrastructures like AWS. The position offers a salary range of up to $310k plus equity, flexible work options including remote work.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and operating production-grade systems.
• Deep expertise in building high-performance, concurrent services.
• Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of API design, data modeling, and consistency tradeoffs.
• Proficiency in backend languages like Go, Python, C#, or Java.
• Commitment to code quality and solid grounding in design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own critical systems end-to-end, including design and deployment.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable features across frameworks.
• Drive the technical roadmap and best practices for the team.
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams for feature delivery.
• Mentor and guide senior engineers to improve technical execution.
