Job summary

Nestlé is seeking a Platform Lead for Commercetools to steer the global digital commerce platform, collaborating with technology, architecture, product, engineering and business teams. You will be the SME for commercetools, guiding platform evolution, reliability and adoption across 40 markets.

In this role you will own the platform strategy, ensure scalability and security, and accelerate adoption through improved documentation and developer experience.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience within digital commerce, eCommerce technology or platform leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated hands-on or platform leadership experience with commercetools is required.
  • Proven experience leading a digital commerce platform and engaging with technical, product and business stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of reliability, scalability, security and compliance principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluent business English.

  • Collaborate with reliability engineering teams to monitor platform health.
  • Drive adoption of new platform capabilities across product and engineering teams.
  • Support knowledge sharing through documentation, training and platform best practices.
  • Act as the go-to subject matter expert for commercetools across the organization.

The Role

The Platform Lead for Commercetools and helps shape the future of the company’s global digital commerce ecosystem. You will be the subject matter expert for commercetools, a core platform supporting our direct-to-customer business across 40 markets. Working with technology, architecture, product, engineering and business teams, you will guide platform evolution, reliability, security and adoption.


Key responsibilities of the Commerce Platform Lead:



  • Own the strategic direction of the commercetools platform, acting as the company’s subject matter expert and primary point of connection with the vendor. Build a strong partnership with commercetools, influence roadmap conversations, assess new capabilities and translate platform opportunities into clear business value.

  • Drive platform health, reliability, security and compliance across the global digital commerce ecosystem. Partner with architecture, engineering and operations teams to ensure commercetools remains scalable, resilient and aligned with Nestlé standards as the platform evolves.

  • Accelerate platform adoption by enabling teams to use commercetools effectively and consistently. Strengthen documentation, training, best practices and developer experience so product and engineering teams can move faster while maintaining quality and governance.


In This Role, You Will

What We’re Looking For
