Job summary

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, seeks a Director of Enterprise Architecture to lead the Platform & Infrastructure team. You will define strategic roadmaps, governance, and standards for cloud, datacenter, Kubernetes, and shared platform services across the organization.

You will partner with Platform Engineering, Security, and Finance to drive modernization, cost discipline, and resilient operations while mentoring architects and driving architectural consistency at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor27s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years in software/infrastructure/platform leadership roles.
• 5+ years of people leadership managing architects or senior contributors.
• Experience defining architecture strategy and roadmaps for large-scale, distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, containers, serverless, and security-by-design.
• Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud, workload placement, and cost-aware architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Enterprise Architects across platform, infrastructure, and shared services.
• Define Platform & Infrastructure architecture vision, standards, and strategic roadmaps.
• Advise executives; align EA with Platform Engineering, Security, and Data teams.
• Partner with Platform Engineering to enable delivery ownership and operational excellence.
• Shape multi-cloud/hybrid infrastructure strategy with governance and cost controls.
• Develop reference architectures, guardrails, and modernization roadmaps.
