What is The Role:

We are seeking a senior engineering manager to lead a distributed team within our Engineering Productivity team. This team manages key developer productivity and CI/CD/Release functions through our internal developer platform, including services like bootstrapping, developer environments, CI/CD pipelines, and product release pipelines, utilizing technologies such as Argo (ArgoCD, Argo Events, Argo Workflows), CueLang, and internal Golang projects.

What You Will Be Doing:

1. Develop a roadmap, clarify work priorities, and shape the team’s long-term vision.
2. Manage, mentor, and lead a globally distributed team of 11 engineers, fostering cohesion and providing regular feedback.
3. Advocate for the team and represent their interests within the organization.
4. Participate in the Engineering Productivity and Infrastructure management groups.
5. Join the on-call rotation as Incident Commander for major incidents.
6. Identify and implement processes to improve team productivity and software quality.

What You Bring:

• Experience leading diverse software engineering teams as a manager.
• Experience managing complex cross-team engineering projects.
• Hands-on software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in computer science.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• A compassionate communication style, a good sense of humor, and a genuine interest in team growth and success.
