Job summary

The Voleon Group in Berkeley seeks a Technical Manager, Software Platform Engineering to lead a team responsible for the foundational services powering research and trading systems. You will own build systems, CI/CD, developer tooling, and deployment automation with a strong emphasis on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
2+ years of engineering management experience.
Strong experience with Python, Go, or C++ and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a team of platform and infrastructure engineers.
Be hands-on technically and work with the team to solve hard problems.
Own the domain roadmap and reliably deliver on goals.
Build and operate systems that power the software development lifecycle with high reliability and observability.
Collaborate across infrastructure, security, research, and engineering to ensure integration.
